CLICHé

The tables are turned in Cliché, our action-packed short film about the botched robbery of a neighborhood convenience store. From an empty hotel room where news of a holdup plays on the television screen, the viewer is hurtled through the cable line and lands right in the middle of the action as two masked men erupt into a small convenience store, guns blasting. In quick secession they assault the owners and clean out the cash register. Unable to make a clean getaway, the two men decide not to leave any witnesses, but the quick executions that follow aren't what you'd expect. Using irony, stereotypes, and clichés to communicate a sober message, Cliché is a fast-paced stylistic action short film with numerous special effects and exciting editing.
Shot in a variety of formats including film, video, and HD, on location in Conyers, Georgia, the film features local talent, including several members of the Conyers Police Department and Mr. and Mrs. Parks, the real-life husband and wife owners of the convenience store used in the short.
