DIRECTOR WITH DIVERSITY
Atlanta, Georgia - Karl Horstmann possesses a unique understanding of all facets of film and video production, which gives him amazing diversity as a director. Having worked in virtually every aspect of "the business," he has honed his filmmaking skills as an editor, director of photography, visual effects director, and for the past decade as the director of a wide range of projects from celebrity spots to drama, action, and comedy pieces.
    The Triple Horse Entertainment President began his career as an editor working at various post-production facilities in Atlanta, which is why he is just as comfortable on set as he is in an editing suite. Through his many years in post-production, Karl has emerged as a next generation director with the eye of an editor, the feel of a compositor, and the vision of a visual effects artist.
    "Having been an editor and a director of photography helps me understand what it will take from start to finish to make a shot or set-up work," Karl says. "I usually get a particular vision in my head before I even begin to shoot."
    Karl's directing style has often been described as fast-paced, hard-hitting, and unflinching. "I tend to shoot very fast and usually do not require many retakes."
    Known for his ability to create the right feel for every piece, Karl is often called in for projects that other directors find daunting. In fact, as part of his commitment to staying on the cutting edge of creativity, Karl is always looking for a new challenge. (page 2)
