TRIPLE
HORSE RACES INTO THEATERS THIS FALL
Atlanta, Georgia -
With a Coke and a smile, Triple Horse Productions take
moviegoers into some scary territory this fall. The classic
Universal Studios monsters Dracula, Frankenstein, The
Wolfman, all make appearances in this Coca-Cola pre-feature
entertainment presentation, but don't cry for your mummy
just yet-the monsters aren't real. Lurking behind the
masks are the faces ordinarily seen in a blur as they
streak around the racetrack-the NASCAR drivers of the
Coca-Cola Racing Family.
The spot sped into production
back in May when the Coca-Cola Company and Universal Studios
waved the green flag. At the starting line, the 8,000
square foot studio B sound stage inside Silverhammer Studios
in Charlotte, North Carolina, a crew of over thirty-five
converged to bring these classic monsters back to life.
"Everybody pulled together for an incredible shoot,"
Karl Horstmann, the director, said from his Atlanta office.
"It was a fantastic crew to work with, but nobody
worked any harder than our art department. They were really
amazing.
"The Triple Horse Productions'
scenic Department constructed five major sets from classic
Universal horror films, including a dungeon, a science
lab, a fog-filled woods, a blazing hot desert complete
with pyramids and a full-sized sarcophagus. "The
props and costumes were amazing, too," said Horstmann.
"They really helped the drivers get into their roles.
